Chiung Hua Wong

Chiung-Hua Wong passed away peacefully on July 24 2024 at her home in Irvine, CA.

Chiung-Hua (Kay) was born November 25 1936 in Taitung, Taiwan to Lin Jiang-Ning and Lin Chen-Yin.

She spent a happy childhood with 13 siblings and later became a nurse.

In 1959 she married Ting-Hsiung Wong, a medical doctor, and they moved to Bo, Sierra Leone.

She also lived in Freetown, Sierra Leone and Kaduna and Benin City, Nigeria.

She had four children, Chen-Yuan (step-daughter), Chen-Ling (daughter), Jen-Hsun (son), and Jen-Ta (son).

In 1977 her family immigrated to the United States and resided in Long Beach, CA and then Irvine, CA until 2024.

She worked as a nurse in various hospitals in Long Beach and nearby communities and later as a private nurse.

She enjoyed playing golf, playing mah-jong, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband Ting-Hsiung and daughter Chen-Ling.

She is survived by her children Chen-Yuan (Steve), Jen-Hsun (Danielle), and Jen-Ta (Yen-Ya), and by her grandchildren Simon, Kayla (Alex), Ryan (Carli), Brandon (Nikke), Marisa, Brooke, Austin, Audrey, and Angelina, and by her great grandchild Kaladin.

A funeral service for Chiung Hua will be held Tuesday, July 30, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Pacific View Memorial Park, 3500 Pacific View Drive, Corona Del Mar, CA 92625. Following the funeral service will be a graveside service following del mar chapel service from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Pacific View Mortuary & Memorial Park, 3500 Pacific View Dr, Newport Beach, CA 92625.
