Christopher Robin Williams loving husband, father and grandfather passed away peacefully in Newport Beach on July 12, 2016 at the age of 76. Chris is survived by his dear wife of 51 years Mary Elizabeth, his children Darren (and Jenny) and grandchildren Payton and Sloane in Corona Del Mar and Samantha (and Scott) and grandchildren William and Charlyse in Napa.

Chris was born in East Horsley, England on March 9, 1940 - the same day as his father. Chris met Mary at Butlins Holiday Camp in Ayre, Scotland and his relentless pursuit paid off when she finally agreed to marry him on August 28, 1965. They enjoyed many adventures together living in the United Kingdom, emigrating to Canada in 1970 and then to the USA in 1988, proudly carrying three passports. From his early days, Chris was always an avid sportsman. He played on every team offered at Ottershaw School. In fact, the only sport he loathed was the cross country running required during the winter months. His athletic pursuits continued throughout his life with touch football, skiing and soccer in Toronto and Montreal, as assistant coach to Samantha's soccer team, and trips across the western US to mountain bike and fish with Darren and Sam. Sports and physical activity remained central to his life as long as he was capable. In fact, he tried his hand at snowboarding for the first time at the ripe old age of 60! Chris also enjoyed gardening in his yard and at his vegetable patch at the Oasis Senior Center and built several elaborate water features. Professionally Chris enjoyed a long, successful career in the insurance broking industry in London, Toronto, Montreal, San Francisco, New York, Houston and Newport Beach.

Services to be officiated by son-in-law Scott Lloyd are scheduled for Friday, July 22 at 2:00 PM at Pacific View Memorial in Corona Del Mar with a reception to follow at Canaletto Ristorante Veneto, Fashion Island, Newport Beach. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Glass Slipper Guild benefiting Children's Hospital Orange County https://www.chocforms.org/eventTool/index.cfm?ec=glassslipperdonation&_ga=1.89179803.1405260922.1447953250) or to the Susan G Komen Foundation.

Condolences can be sent to http://www.legacy.com. The family would like to thank Dr. Bae, Dr. Klein, Dr. Mayer, Dr. Rasan, their staff and Hoag Memorial Hospital for their excellent care.

Dear Aunt Mary, Sam, Darren and families. I'm sorry to have not be able to stand with you yesterday to celebrate Uncle Chris' life. We were there with you in spirit, sending our love to you all from over the sea! Uncle Chris was special to Paul and I and I have many fond memories of his visits to Littlehampton (crabbing on the pier, eating his sausage sandwiches). I will treasure these forever xxx

I cant remember the date I first met Chris but it had to be in 1961 some 55 years ago when we worked in the same company in London . I am proud to say that he and his family has been part of our life ever since. The news that he had died came as a big shock and one that will take all of us a long time to get over. I only wish that I could have been with you at the funeral but regrettably I just could not make it work. To Mary and her entire family please accept our most sincere condolences on this sad occasion. We will be thinking of you during this very difficult time and also of all of the great memories of enjoyable times over the past many years

Dear Mary and family,
My sincere condolences to you and all your family. I was truly saddened to learn that Chris had passed away. He was a good friend and colleague during our years at Ottershaw School during the mid-1950s, and it was a great pleasure to become re-acquainted with him in London in 2013, and to see again on two further visits since then.
