

Cozette Wells, beloved wife, sister, mother, aunt, and grandmother, passed away on November 14, 2025. She was born on November 30, 1955, in Baguio City, Philippines, and at the age of 19 bravely journeyed to the United States to build a new life filled with purpose and promise.
Determined and industrious, Cozette earned her degree in Industrial Engineering from Cal Poly Pomona University in 1993. Her keen mind, resilient spirit, and quiet strength shaped every path she walked.
In 2000, Cozette married Theron Wells on the serene shores of Catalina Island, beginning a beautiful partnership that flourished for 25 wonderful years. Together, they built a life rooted in love, respect, and unshakable devotion.
Cozette radiated beauty and grace—both in her gentle presence and in her lifelong love of dance. She will be remembered for her kindness, her soft-spoken wisdom, her devotion to her family, and her deep, abiding faith. Her heart glowed brightest in the moments she spent with her cherished grandson William and great-nephew Renzo who brought her immeasurable joy.
Cozette was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Melecio and Fe Abellera, her brother, Jaime Abellera and her niece Ashley Abellera. She is survived by her brothers Ceasar (Virginia) Abellera, Archie Abellera; her sisters Imelda Floresca (Chris) and Norma Abellera; her husband Theron Wells; her stepdaughter Melody Papenbrock (Rob); her grandson William Papenbrock; her nephew Lary Floresca (Niki); he her great niece, Chloe, and great nephew, Aiden; her nephew Jonathan Abellera (Beatrice); her great nephew, Brandon, and great niece Charlotte; her niece April Scolesdang (Ron); her great-nephew Renzo Scolesdang, along with many extended family members who adored her.
Cozette’s warmth, grace, unwavering and lifelong trust in God leave a legacy that will continue to shine through all whose lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever treasured.
