

David Albert McClure passed away peacefully on July 1st, 2025, surrounded by family. Born in 1930 in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, he served in the Korean War and used the G.I. Bill to earn advanced degrees in pharmacy, pharmacology and biochemistry. David built a long career in pharmaceutical research and medical device development after earning his PhD in 1962. He and his wife, Diane, spent 62 years together raising four children in Mission Viejo, California.
David is survived by his children, Tim, Lynn, Kathy, and Chris; his brother Robert; ten grandchildren; and two great grandsons. He will be remembered for his intellect, love of learning, humor, musical talent, and deep devotion to his family.
