With heavy hearts and endless love, we share the passing of our beloved Deja — a daughter, sister, granddaughter, and friend whose light touched so many lives. While our hearts ache in her absence, we find comfort in knowing she is now at peace, free, and resting in the arms of God.
Deja Aaliyah Katherine Allen was a beautiful soul, both inside and out. Her kindness, generosity, and passion for life were truly unmatched. She had a gift for making people feel seen, loved, and important. Her smile could light up any room, and her laughter will echo in our hearts forever.
She was deeply loved by her brothers, Destin, Daelan, and T.K., and shared a special and unbreakable bond with her bonus siblings Avery, Isaiah, and Josiah. To them, she was more than a sister — she was a source of love, strength, and connection that will live on forever.
Deja also leaves behind her loyal and beloved dog, Cosmo, who was always by her side and brought her comfort and joy.
She was cherished by her grandmothers, Carolyn Owour and Nana Susan Gibson, whose love helped shape the incredible young woman she became.
Deja was surrounded by a large and loving family, including her Aunt Sheila and cousin Reid; Uncle Mark, Aunt Andrea, and Calvin; Aunt Kim, Uncle Schroeder, Max, and Peyton; and many extended family members and loved ones who will forever hold her in their hearts.
Though her time with us feels far too short, Deja’s life was full of love, connection, and meaning. She lived with heart, gave freely, and created memories that will last a lifetime.
If her passing has left a void, we will fill it with the joy she gave us — the laughter, the love, and the beautiful moments we were blessed to share. Her spirit will live on in each of us, in the way we love, support, and remember her.
We ask that you remember Deja not in sorrow, but in the light she brought into this world. Lift your hearts and find peace in knowing she is free.
A celebration of Deja’s life will be held on April 18th at 5:00 PM in Corona Del Mar.
Please bring a chair or blanket and join us for a sunset and bonfire as we come together to remember our beautiful girl. All are welcome. Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever our Deja.
