In Loving Memory of Donna Michelle Ballard Connery

On June 25, 2025, Donna Michelle Ballard Connery, daughter of the late Arthur Ballard, Sr. and Larcia Ballard, wife of Brian Connery and mother of Kyle Maurice Forgues passed away at home in Rocklin, California. She is also survived by her two sisters, Antoinette (Toni) Ballard and Shirley Cunningham and her brothers, Arthur and Lonnie Ballard.

Following her graduation from Frederick Douglas High School she was off to Howard University where she quickly won a seat on the Student Council. Her leadership abilities earned her an Independent Study Award from the Harvard Endowment. She went on to complete her education at the London School of Economics before beginning her career on Wall Street as a Bond Analyst. With an abundance of talent, her career kept growing and by 1996 she found herself living in Los Angeles, working for Universal Studios where she met her first husband. In 2001, Donna was blessed by the birth of her son, Kyle.

In 2003 it was off to Pleasanton with her young son, and then in 2021 she made her final move to Rocklin, CA following Kyle’s entrance into college. She began a relationship with Brian Connery which led to their marriage in the spring of 2023. On the day before Thanksgiving, 2023, Donna was diagnosed with ALS, and by January 2024, she made the difficult decision to retire from her role as Director of Sales Compensation.

Donna Michelle Ballard Connery’s lifelong values of faith, honesty, gratitude, humor, and valuing her relationships brought many blessings to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will be forever cherished by her husband, son, and extended family. May she rest in eternal peace and love.
