“BeBe”
November 2, 1942 – December 13, 2025
Our sweet, beautiful, and wonderfully whimsical “BeBe” was born under a lucky star on November 2, 1942. Adopted at birth by Louis and Bea Green, who absolutely adored her, Dorothy grew up surrounded by love in Toronto, Canada. She was a proud high school majorette and spent her summers at sleepaway camp and at cottages on Lake Muskoka, creating memories that lasted a lifetime.
Dorothy met her future husband, Zane, in second grade and thought he was “pretty cute.” They married on February 4, 1965, and shared 61 years together. Their journey took them from Kalamazoo to Memphis, then Miami, London, back to Miami, and finally to Newport Beach—a life full of adventure and love.
A gifted interior designer for many years, Dorothy also devoted herself to helping others, raising funds to support homeless families in Orange County. She was a lifelong learner—attending college in her 40s, studying Torah, watching the History Channel, and exploring her passion for genealogy.
Above all, Dorothy cherished her family. Her daughters and grandchildren were her greatest joy, and she loved them “whole big bunches.” Her laughter, warmth, and boundless love will live on in all who knew her.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, Zane Leshner; her daughters Amy Saldamando (David) and Wendy Stillman (Michael); and her four beloved grandchildren—Julia, Eli, Zoe, and Benny—who loved her dearly.
Details for a Celebration of Life will be shared with friends and family soon.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dorothy’s memory to a charity supporting animals, veterans, homeless families in Orange County, or to an organization close to your heart.
