Ed Kauss was born April 27th, 1942 in Omaha Nebraska and died November 15th in Las Vegas, Nevada. He is survived by his wife Gail (33 years married), children (Kyle & wife Emily, Kent and Kim & husband Chris), step children (Craig, Paula, Karen and Ann), siblings (Mike, Carolyn and Joyce), 14 grandchildren (Gavin, Joe, Garrett, Taylor, Laura, Ryan & wife Anna, Rachel, Alex, Creighton, Jeremy, Dylan, Abigail, Carolyn and Joseph) and great granddaughters (Emery and Finley). He is preceded in death by his first wife Carol (23 years married) and his parents Rinehart and Alice.
Ed was an engineer who retired after 25 years with the United Parcel Service. At the young age of 55, he and Gail enjoyed a wonderfully blessed retirement traveling the country and the world first in a motor home then later with dozens of overseas and domestic trips that were highlighted by their love of Alaska, cruises and two trips to the Holy Land. He loved his Cubbies and his Packers but Gail and he together enjoyed hockey and their Las Vegas Golden Knights.
Most important to Ed was his Lutheran Faith, his family and the integrity both required in service and support. He will be laid to rest during a family and friends celebration at Pacific View Memorial Park in Corona Del Mar on Friday the 2nd of December.
