

Sherman Cunial, children; Carolyn Salazar and her husband Anthony, Christopher Cunial and
his wife Maria, Alyssa Perew and her husband Andrew; two grandchildren; Nicole Salazar and
Tristan Cunial, with one more granddaughter on the way.
He graduated from UC Berkeley in Chemical Engineering and went on to work as a “Rocket
Scientist” designing everything from NASA rockets to the Boeing 747 windshields. He went
back to school and earned his LLD and started a very successful law firm.
Gary was an active member of the Edelweiss Ski Club where he met his wife, Sherri. He was
crazy about airplanes and earned his Commercial license and Flying Instructor rating. He and
his family enjoyed flying around the country, Canada, and Mexico with his Airventures Flying
Club friends. He also loved the ocean and loved sailing his boat around Southern California.
His avocation was Acting and he appeared in numerous Community theatres and a few student
films. His favorite part was in 1776, as the Congressional Secretary Charles Thompson at the
Conejo Players Theatre.
Gary will be missed by his many friends and family, especially by his wife of 41years, Sherri.
His funeral will be on Monday, December 18, 2023 at Pacific View Memorial Park in Corona Del
Mar at 2:00 PM.
