Cousin Harold was a truly wonderful man and a compassionate physician;if our religion had saints, he certainly would be at the top of my list.  I'll always remember him as a kind, generous, intelligent, articulate, and loving man.  He touched the lives of many during his lifetime and I believe his positive influence will be felt for generations to come.

I will think of Harold and miss him for the remainder of my life.

In the photo, he is in fact singing karaoke, Frank Sinatra's My Way. My wife Huisu “Didi” was singing with him, but of course this is not a photo she should be in. The painting behind is by the illustrious Jimmy Chong, a fine man and unique impressionist who sought to convey happiness with each stroke.

 I wish to add an anecdote his beloved brother Bucky shared with me. He shared this many years ago, as Bucky predeceased my father by many decades. . . . My father, then known as “Red,” was running a relay race as a member of the Harvard Varsity Track Team. He was the final runner. In this kind of race a baton is handed off to each member of the team from his predecessor. The last runner is usually the best. In this race my father was the last runner. Most typically the race is won or lost by the speed of the last runner. Occasionally, a runner might fall—of course that means defeat. More dramatically, and emotionally painful, a runner might drop the baton after the hand-off. By the time he picks it up, the race has been lost. But in this particular race, my father's opponent dropped the baton. The race had been close. To the shock of all present, my father stopped running and picked up the other runner's baton, gently handed it to him, waited for him to get settled, and said “now we start again.” Harold I. Miller not only won the race, but he won the hearts of all present.

My deepest condolences to the family of Dr. Miller. I worked with "Harold" at UMass Medical School DES for many years. He loved that I referred to him as Harold and so that is was. He was a brilliant and humble man, with many stories. We fondly exchanged many golfing tips with each other, he was an inspriration and a mentor. I am going to miss him....my prayers are with his family....

My deepest sympathy to the family of Dr Harold Miller.I will always remember our conversations at Umass Med .School.He was always full of  wonderful clinical advise both personal and professional.He will be missed

To The Miller family, I worked with Dr. Miller at United Health Care in Westboro, and at DES in Auburn. He was such a pleasure to be around. He always addressed me by name, was very knowledgeable, and very patient. He also had a great zest for life.
