

Helen Charlotte Scrantom passed away peacefully in her home on October 1, 2011 in the company of her loving family. Helen was born in the Bronx, NY on July 15, 1933 to Henry and Elisabeth Schilling. She grew up in New Fairfield, Conn. and moved to Northern California with her loving husband, Charles Q. Scrantom, soon after they were married.
In 1963 they moved to Costa Mesa with their 3 chirldren. She lived in Mesa Verde for 48 years raising her family, while assisting her husband at Scrantom Engineering, Inc. She also was actively involved in many charitable organizations includding Punch and Judy of CHOC and Boy Scouts of America. She also was an active member at the BCYC, MVCC Tennis Club and Las Alegras. Helen always left a beautiful and memorable impression on everyone she met.
Sadly, Helen was predeceased by Charles Q. Scrantom, her forever loving husband of 54 years.
She was a woman with boundless compassion, faith and love, and will be missed by all who knew an dloved her.
Helen is survived by her three children, Charles Scrantom Jr. and three grandchildren, Josh, John and Charlotte; Steven Scrantom and his wife Denise and three grandchildren, David, Daniel and Stephanie; and Carolyn Westphal and her husband Bob and her grandchild Helena.

Memorial Services will be held Friday, October 7, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at Pacific View Memorial Park, 3500 Pacific View Dr., Corona del Mar. A Celebration of her life and everlasting love will be held at 12:00 p.m. at the Mesa verde Country Club, 3000 Club House Rd., Costa Mesa.
