Helene Amber M. Rohl, age 88, Irvine, California, passed away on August 11, 2025, at the home she loved and in the company of her children, grandchildren, dear friends, and her devoted husband of 42 years, Ken.
A native Los Angelino, Amber graduated from Inglewood High School.
She settled in Orange County, where she raised a family and eventually began a career in interior design, a passion she cultivated throughout her life and many properties.
It was interior design that led Amber to attend a kitchen and bath industry show, where she met Ken, who had just begun a new business importing an innovative kitchen faucet from Switzerland. As their relationship developed, Amber became an integral partner in building what would become a successful business and renowned luxury brand from a spare bedroom in a rented Irvine townhouse. Throughout the years, her style, warmth, and spirit elevated the experience of working for and with ROHL LLC.
Of all her design projects, she was most proud of the beautification of the homes she shared with Ken over the years, including properties in Irvine, Tustin, Newport Beach, Sun Valley, Idaho, and finally Shady Canyon.
She also filled her home with beautiful music, maintaining a passion for classical music she developed in high school, where she was an accomplished violinist and vocalist.
Over the years, she and Ken were great supporters of the Sun Valley Symphony, the Irvine Barclay Theater, and the UC Irvine School of the Arts Music Department, where they founded a program that provided an opportunity to perform in local residences.
Amber’s family became another beautiful creation through the years, as she became a true matriarch supporting and guiding multiple generations, including four children, three stepchildren, seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Amber is remembered as someone who projected beauty through her sparkling eyes and bright smile that conveyed the warmth in her heart for friends and family.
The family wishes to thank the Doctors of UCI and Hoag Hospitals, the loving attention of her many caregivers, and Cathy Franks, her Geriatric Care Manager.
A private celebration honoring Amber’s life will be held at Pacific View Memorial Park and Mortuary in Corona Del Mar, California.
