Janice met her husband while waiting for a student charter flight from Tel Aviv to Athens. When the plane was delayed, the charter company took the passengers to the Maccabeeas in village for lunch. They met sitting across from each other at a table. Jann was smiling and Rob was smitten. After a two-year courtship attending UCLA or Cal or in Alaska, they married in Anchorage, Bob was clerking for Judge Raymond Plummer, Federal District Court Judge, who married them at the Russian Jack Springs Snack Bar. Jann and Rob did the wedding and reception themselves, friends they made in Anchorage attending.

Jann loved to travel and made sure Rob got out of the law office in which he practiced. They enjoyed skiing trips or the Caribbean or Hawaii. They also loved trips to New York or Beverly Farms, North of Boston, later superseded by their favorite City, Paris.
