

JOSEPH JAJONIE, 84 of Irvine, California, passed away peacefully on July 3rd, 2013. Born on July 19, 1928, in Baghdad, Iraq, Joe was owner/operator of several successful restaurants in Southern California. He retired from the restaurant business and later worked at John Wayne Airport as a TSA. Joe was the guy who loved to tell jokes to his family and friends. He was an excellent chef and known as “the backgammon king” in his community. He was also a member of Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church.
Joseph was predeceased by his son Darin Jajonie; he leaves behind two sons, George Jajonie and Ramsey Jajonie; a daughter Cathy Pouliot and 8 grandchildren; Alexandra Jajonie, Joseph Jajonie, Nick Jajonie, Shayne Pouliot, Kendra Pouliot, Emilie Jajonie, Ashton Jajonie and Ethan Jajonie.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Sunday, July 14, 2013 at Pacific View Mortuary and the funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, July 15, 2013 at Pacific View Mortuary Chapel with a graveside following.
