Very sad to hear this and Joe passed much too early.  My fondest memory with Joe was when we were in Michigan working a deal at Wolverine Wold Wide and decided to have a team get together at some bar in Grand Rapids.  It was Karoke night and Joe and I did a duo on AC/DC's "You Shook Me All Night Long".  I think the only people we "shook" that night were the audience members laughing on the ground.  Joe will be greatly missed and my deepest prayers and sympathy go out to his wife and children. 

I had the pleasure to work with Joe at SAP, and while I was very new and raw to the job and industry, Joe would always be there on the other end of the phone to talk about work, life, sports, and everything in between. He was always there to put a smile on your face, talk up Chicago sports, or to help anyone in their business pursuits. You were an inspiration during my burgeoning software career and I will always be grateful. You will be sorely missed by all the lives you touched.

Joe and I worked closely together when I first started at SAP in 2014 and developed a very close friendship and mentorship.  Joe was incredible at software sales - by far one of the best in the business - and loved by everyone who came in contact with him, including his customers.  He always put in the extra effort into everything he did and was willing to provide a helping hand to anyone who needed it.   He also had a great sense of humor; Joe would make me laugh all the time and had an incredible ability to cheer anyone up even in their toughest moments.  I learned so much from Joe in the time that I knew him and am eternally grateful for that opportunity.  Joe will be forever missed and longlasting in our hearts and minds!

Joe Lazar was a consummate gentleman and sales professional who made others around him better.  He was always impeccably dressed with his very dapper pocket squares and was embraced by his customers and co-workers alike for his light hearted and caring demeanor.  Joe was one of the funniest people to be around, loved great meals, Johnnie Walker, owning the karaoke stage, and being around friends for lively conversations.   

Rest In Peace Joe, you went way before your time.  Sending all our love to Kelly and Lola.  

My most heartfelt and sincere condolences to Kelly, Lola and all of Joe's family and friends.   Joe was an amazing guy and to say I am shocked and saddened by the news of his passing is an understatement.

I worked with Joe for several years at SAP.   We spent may days working in Chicago, Grand Rapids, Detroit and other cities in the mid-West and he was always quick to help the "guy from Texas" find his way around.  I admired his passion for his beloved Cubs and Blackhawks and we watched many a game together while on the road.  

Joe was always engaging, fun, had a great sense of humor and adventure about him and rarely lacked a good jab/insult or two (all good-natured of course).

Joe will be missed by everyone who was fortunate to know him for the kind, funny, friendly, guy who seemed to always look out for others like a big brother.

Where do I even begin…I first met Joe when I was a sophomore in high school when Kelly and him started dating. He took me under his wing and immediately became my big brother. He was “Broseph” and I was “BK.”  He was someone I could always count on to be there, no matter what. From the endless laughs,  family holidays, and inside jokes…it’s hard to see a life without him. I will always remember his laugh, his smile, his generosity, the light in my son, Colton’s eyes when he would see Joe, his dukes on Xmas with endless wrapping paper, his love for KISS, his brilliant mind filled with trivia, and most importantly, the love he had for Kelly and Lola. I know he is looking down on us all and is our special angel. Until we meet again.

What I remember about Joe the most was his smile and laughter and how he could draw you in and make you feel a part of whatever was going on. You will definitely be missed and your smile and laughter will always be etched in my mind. I will never forget the most beautiful wedding I have ever been to and how you tried to get me to dance. I was lucky enough to work with Joe at Oracle on the GE account team which felt more like a family than it did a team you were on at work. No matter how stuffy the call was you could always rely on Joe to bring his charm and humor to lighten things up. In my time at Oracle Joe took me under his wing and helped prepare me for the next steps in my career, not because he had to but because he cared and wanted me to succeed. This is a devastating loss and my thoughts and prayers are with the Lazar family.

I was fortunate to work with Joe at SAP for many wonderful, wonderful years. Joe took me on my very first sales call and made me realize how fun selling could be with his impeccable style, charm towards clients, celebratory dinners, whisky savvy (both in knowledge and ability to drink it), and overall, his protective big brother attitude towards me. He was a consummate gentleman, always there to offer a pocket square, pull out a chair, or open a car door. He was also a mean karaoke singer and cornhole (or bags) player who was as competitive as all get out! He taught me about the best restaurants and bars in Chicago, Rent the Runway (thanks to Kelly), and Bears trivia - a true Renaissance man with so many varied interests. You will be sorely missed, Joe. Sending all my love to Kelly and Lola. 

I worked with Joe at Oracle.  From my very first conversation with Joe, it was clear how family-focused he was.  Joe's charisma, fun personality, and kindness shined through in every interaction.  He was an inspiring mentor and I am deeply saddened by his passing.

I am so deeply saddened to see Joe leave this world, but I know he is in a better place.  When I think of happy times, I think of him.  Last time I saw him, we bumped into each other infront of the Opera House in Chicago.

Our family met Joe at Western Illinois, where Katy and Tyler went to college. Joe was a man of integrity, always a gentleman, with a smile, joke and kind words. He was good a the "dizzy bat" game and so encouraging of  others. Joe will be truly missed by all. It was an honor to have known Joe and had the opportunity to  have many good times and laughs with him. His memories will live on in our hearts. I only worked with Joe for a short time at Oracle but we got to know each other over the course of the last few months.  Joe made a sincere effort to take me under his wing and try and help me be successful, which I will never forget. Joe was a loving husband, father, uncle and brother-in-law. We treasure the many memories over the last 15 years. We are grateful for the love he has shown Kelly and Lola. He will be deeply missed. I know he is watching over us now. Until we meet again.

"Heart of gold" is oftentimes overused but certainly is never more appropriate than when describing Joe.  Having worked with him for many years, I always enjoyed spending time with Joe.  He had a natural gift for seeing the value in everyone he met, putting them at ease, and forging strong and authentic friendships.  And you could never stump Joe on movie trivia, song lyrics, or punchlines to jokes!  His colleagues love him.  His customers love him.  His family love him (and made him so happy)...he will live on through the memories, influence, and example his life set for and impacted those he cherished.  So very sorry for your shocking loss.

Your smile and energy will be missed. I appreciated the warmth in bringing teams together and willingness to thoughtfully listen. I will miss our deep conversations and sushi dinners. Most, I admired the way fatherhood took hold and when your face lit up when sharing Lola with us. I smiled thinking of our last conversation and a follow-up text...pictured - lola and family at the beach + slaying Disneyland after 12hours. 

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Joe's passing and want you to know that our family is keeping your family in our thoughts and prayers.  

Joe’s humor and good attitude were infectious. No matter the situation Joe was rock steady with a positive attitude and like any good professional made things look easy, especially when you knew they weren’t  . He was a joy to be with and will be missed by all his current and past colleagues.

I always enjoyed his focus on building personal bonding on top of the business relationship we had and have great memories of his positive attitude and contagious energy in the time we spent together in San Francisco, Houston and Florence (Italy). Although I had only known Joe for a couple years, he's had such a huge and positive impact on me. Joe always put in a lot of passion in everything he did whether it was his sales and customer skills, his sense of humor, his knowledge of the best bars and restaurants in Chicago/Milwaukee or his karaoke chops. But more than anything, I will remember Joe for who he was as a person and for the jokes and laughter we shared.
