Josephine was born in Boston, MA. She graduated at the young age of 16. She was allowed to skip grades due to her accelerated academic achievements. After the war, she married her childhood sweetheart, Sam A. LoBue, in 1947. Together they celebrated 70 years of marriage. They were devoted to each other.
Josephine worked as an administrative assistant at the Gillette Corporation until she started a family. After moving their family to California in 1965, Josephine became a volunteer at the maternity ward of St. Joseph Hospital in Orange, which she loved. Once her children were grown, she returned to the workforce at the Employment Development Dept. for the State of CA, where she received awards as a valued employee.
Surviving Josephine is her husband, Sam, her 3 children, Ken, Elisa and Tom, 7 grandchildren, Meredith, Danny, Courtney, David, Stephen, Christina and Noelle and her brother, Freddie Chiuve. She was one of 6 children, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Her late sister, Margaret died 6 weeks ago.
Anyone who knew Josephine, knows what a wonderful mother and grandmother she was, extremely generous and loving. Her Italian cooking of countless delicious meals will live on in family traditions that she so beautifully created and shared with love.
