Nearly all of my best childhood memories involved Auntie Karen. My siblings and I counted down the days until she and her family visited us, and she always made sure that the few days she spent with us were packed with adventures that we'd remember forever. One of her best talents was her ability to find hidden gems and special places everywhere she went. I've lived in El Paso, Texas my entire life, but every time Auntie Karen visited she would find new restaurants and hidden hiking trails that I never could've found on my own (most of the time recommended to her by new friends she met on the plane or in line at the store, she made friends everywhere she went). She inspired my siblings and I to be brave, adventurous, bold, and sometimes even a little sneaky, because the best things in life don't come to people that just sit around and wait. She was like a second mother to us, and we're going to miss her immensely.

I miss you "your loveliness"
I have been so blessed to know you & your beautiful family.
I am deeply saddened that you had to go but will keep the special memories we shared close & dear to my heart.
I enjoyed our travels together, meditation at the duck pond & "retail therapy" at Ross
Rest in peace dear one.💕

I remember meeting Mrs. Faqih as a child, maybe 11 or 12 years old. She coached me and Jas for allstars basketball. I remember the very first meet was at her house and this is were she held a dinner for her new team she was about to coach. I remember her energy and how much she would always smile and you could hear her voice through everyone in the crowd. Growing up I got the chance to play with Jas in High school at Santiago. Her energy always remained the same and she always had that smile on her face whenever talking about basketball. She was an amazing lady and she was always one of my favorite coaches growing up!! ❤

It's hard to choose a favorite memory with Auntie Karen-- she was always ready for an adventure. I always remember our walks and hikes to enjoy nature together fondly. She always greeted people and animals we met with a smile and loved getting to know new people.

Karen was truly one of a kind. I have nothing but fond memories of Karen during our days at Kraft. She was one of the special ones and adored by all our Kraft family. I always cherished our conversations and her words of wisdom about life and relationships. At company events, she’d make me laugh and feel part of the team. She was quite the partygoer! I loved her positivity and zest for life. The picture below is how I will always remember Karen - so cheerful (rosey cheeks and all!) warm and compassionate, and a great friend. Rest In Peace dear Karen. ❤️
