Kathrine Keyes

Kathrine Sarah Lombardo Keyes, 83, of San Juan Capistrano, passed away on May 12, 2011. Born on February 20, 1928 in Los Angeles to Louis and Rose Lombardo, she was honored as Miss Pasadena and attended cosmetology school in Los Angeles. She practiced as an electrologist for over 50 years. Her patients loved her and many were her dear friends.

She always gave of herself and volunteered at the Mission Hospital and the Mission Hospital Thrift and Gift. In addition to giving of her time, her talents included gardening especially her love for roses and cymbidiums, ceramics, needlework, and cooking.

She will always be remembered for her warm smile, positive attitude, hard work, and kindness. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Her husband, John Keyes, the love of her life, predeceased her. She is survived by her cousin, Gloria Roberts, niece, Lori Kretz, nephew, Louis Lombardo III, stepchildren, Mollie Broomfield and Patrick Keyes, 1 grandson, 3 great nephews and 2 great nieces.

Memorial graveside services will be held on June 18th at 10:30am at Pacific View Memorial Park and Mortuary, Corona del Mar. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Mission Hospital Thrift and Gift, 31892 Plaza Drive, San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675.
