Koreen Elizabeth Strandberg, 77, of Villa Park, California passed away peacefully on May 8, 2019. She was an adored wife to David Strandberg, loving mother to Suzie, Judy, and Katie, and the perfect Nanna to Jack and David Dean. Koreen was born in Greeley, Colorado to Ernest Richard and Ruth Elizabeth Johnson. She graduated from Ault High School in 1960 was a 1964 graduate of Colorado State College (now UNC) with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. Koreen ventured out to California where she was hired as a full time teacher. Her plan was to give California one year then return to Colorado. Little did she know California is where she would meet her future husband Dave. Dave and Koreen met on a blind date and six months later they were married. In June 2018 Koreen and Dave celebrated 52 years of marriage. Koreen was a living example of patience and grace. You never saw her without a book in her hand. She was a beautiful and cherished wife, mother, Nanna, sister, cousin, aunt, friend. She was a very talented teacher and farmer. Koreen was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Suzie. She is survived by her husband and daughters Judy and Katie, grandsons David and Jack, brother Korwin Johnson (Marlyss), sister-in-law Joanie (Hector), a niece and three nephews. A memorial service will be held at 10 AM, June 1st at Pacific View Memorial Park and Mortuary, Corona Del Mar, California.
