My Dear Grandma

In our memories our grandma will always be the strongest and most kind-hearted grandmother that we know. She was there for every moment of our childhood, from our first words to our first steps. The very first birthday and the 19th one. The very first day of school to our high school graduation. Every moment we spent with her was more precious than words can say, but we'd like to start by sharing some of our fondest memories that we shared.

We remember how we'd watch TV together on the weekends. We'd wake up early so we could all sit together in our grandma's room and watch cartoons or see what was cooking on the food channels that day. When we went out to have fun as a family, she was always right there with us. Making sure we never wandered off to far or hurt ourselves. Every night our doors were left open. She would sit with us until we fell asleep and check on us throughout the night. Even then, we knew how much family meant to her and how we meant in her eyes.

We know that you were always worried for us, so we'd like to end this speech by giving a small message to her:
Grandma, in a few months, we'll be starting our second year of college. We're getting our driver's licenses soon too, so you don't have to worry that we won't be able to look after ourselves anymore. We are forever honored and grateful to have someone who whole-heartedly looks out for our success and well-being like you do. You have worked so hard and sacrificed so much for us to live the life that we have today We promise to study hard and look after Mom, Dad and each other for you so you don't have to worry anymore. Wherever you choose to go, we hope that you can relax without a worry on your mind and eat and drink whatever you want every single day.
Grandma, we love you and will miss you

Thank You.

A poem by Yeh- Chin Hu, your sister-in -law

廣芬廣懷廣德廣天廣禹廣有：

你們自小成群嬉鬧，
長大成家各有發展；
命運不同血源相繫，
天涯海角心繫彼此，
天上人間永遠相憶。

Dear Kuangfen, Kuanghuai,Kuangde, Kuangtien,Kuangyu, Kuangyou:

You have played together since childhood, later grown up and started your own families;
Your destinies are different but your blood ties remain;
Though you are each at opposite ends of the earth, your hearts are closely connected;
You will always remember and love each other, whether in heaven or on earth.

Two Eulogies
From Kuang-Tien Tai and Yeh-Chin Hu
(First)
My sister has passed away, my heart is filled with sorrow.

Time is flying away and a hundred year has passed in the blink of an eye.

I wished my sister would long live, but alas, my wish could not be fulfilled. What can one do against fate?

I miss her dearly, her image, her singing voice, her culinary skills, and her needlework, all so refined and skillful.

People experience sorrow and joy, separation and reunion; the moon waxes and wanes, nothing is ever perfect。

I only wish My Sister is rest in peace, and the family may find solace in this difficult time.

(Second)
Throughout her life, she is strong and unyielding.

In times of hardship, she shouldered the burden together.

The grief of losing her husband was hidden deep within her heart.

Her only son is not alone; his uncles are by side, supporting and helping each other.

She has immigrated to America, fulfilling her dreams; her child and grandchildren are filial, and her family prospers.

My Sister is at peace in Heaven,
God has taken her to His side.
