Laura Estela Silva-Scavo

June 30, 1960June 8, 2018

Master's Degree, licensed psychotherapist, clinical social worker, investor, adventurer, Christian believer, Prayer intercessor and my wife for 32 years.

Laura and I both knew that she would soon pass into the heavenlies. Back in September '17 the Spirit moved me to know that she wouldn't live to see the next July 4th Independence Day. I told no one at that time because I had no evidence other than a subjective impression. Now it's come to pass.

Laura is in Paradise, having repented of all her sins. She repented and was forgiven by God. Won't you do likewise?

Passionate believer in Jesus Christ, Laura impacted every life she encountered. Gracious, kind, sincere toward us and tireless in her love for her family. Laura never questioned God's plans for her life nor doubted His promises for her life to come.

Her children arise and call her blessed;
her husband also, and he praises her:
“Many women do noble things,
but you surpass them all.”
Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
Honor her for all that her hands have done,
and let her works bring her praise…

Laura Silva-Scavo, my dear sister in law, and I have shared a name for most of our lives. I used to say to her that I was the “original” Laura Scavo, having been born Tim’s sister, but she and I both knew that she was actually the most original one! She called me one day several years ago and left me a cheerful message: “Hello! This is the one - the only - Laura Silva Scavo!” She was exuberant as she listed off some of her accomplishments and declared who she was in Christ’s kingdom.” Then she told me what each member of the family was doing at that moment and said she loved me. The message was so typically and happily Laura that I saved it, and saved it, and every once in a while I would listen to it and laugh out loud for the joy it brought me. I have saved it still, but now I imagine Laura entering heaven. And when she did, I bet she declared the same thing: “Hello! I - the one and only - Laura Silva Scavo is here!!”
I loved you very much, dear sister. I will see you again some day and when I do we will talk and laugh and you will have all the breath you need to catch me up on all the details of heaven!
Love Laura Scavo (the other one!)
