Lois Marlene Lyall died peacefully on January 8, 2018 at the age of 86 at her home in Fullerton, California. Lois’ life was marked by her love for her family—her late husband, Bob; her children Jeff Lyall (Robin) and Jennifer Fritchle (Dean); her grandchildren, Hunter (Heather), Clark (Kristine), Heather (Joshua), Stewart (Kirsten), Evan, and Chase; her greatgrandchildren, Everly, Ford, and Brynley Fritchle and McKinley Hallman; and her sister, Shirley Lund.
Lois was born on June 3, 1931 in Omaha, Nebraska to Roy and Rose Johnson. She married her life-long love, Bob, in Los Angeles, California in 1952. While Lois was a legal secretary early in her life, her true career was providing a loving and welcoming home for her family and any friends or strangers who knocked on her door.
Lois was a woman of immense faith and a dog lover in the truest form. She never shied away from a conversation, a word of affirmation, or bragging about her grandchildren. She loved throwing parties and carrying out family traditions. Her Easter and Halloween cookies, along with her jello molds, will far outlive her in the family.
A funeral is scheduled for January 22, 2018 at 11am at Lois’ place of worship, St. John’s Lutheran Church in Orange, CA, with a reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Lois’ life. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to Graceworks where she sponsored a child in Rwika, Kenya graceworkshopenet.org) in Lois’ honor.
