March 28, 1935 - May 24, 2026 Newport Beach, CA Marie O'Hora was born in Philadelphia, PA and was the 2nd child of Dr. and Mrs. John C. Flanagan. She was raised with her brothers and sisters, John, Joseph, Anne and Kathleen. Marie attended Holy Cross grammar school, Mt. St. Joseph Academy and Trinity University in Washington DC. In August 1958 Marie married Joseph F. O'Hora III and they shared 58 years together until Joe's death in 2015. Marie & Joe had two daughters, Maureen and Molly. Together they gave her eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. After college Marie was employed as a medical writer at GSK. She later became the publisher for Civic Data Corp. Marie was very active with the Junior League and D.A.R. She served as The Gift Box Chairman at Hoag for 19 years & was the proud recipient if the Vin Jorgensen Award. Marie & Joe were active sailors and voyaged to Alaska, San Juan Islands, Great Lakes, Nova Scotia and the north eastern US Coast. Over 25,000 miles together. A good life.
