Martha Haley

On July 20th, 2023 at the age of 90, Martha “Mamoo” Marie Haley, a long time resident of Corona Del Mar peacefully entered Heaven’s gates. Martha was born on July 13, 1933 in Mercedes, Texas. Martha was a hardworking woman that started picking cotton at the age of 4. After moving to several different places, Martha ended up in Exeter, California where she started her Real Estate business and met the love of her life, Robert Grant Haley. Robert and Martha were happily married in 1968 until Robert’s passing on August 6, 2006. Martha is preceded in death by her husband Robert Grant Haley; her son Fred Kurillo; her sisters, Louise MacDonald, Betty Van Nostern and Ione Hutchinson. She is survived by her sister Nathalia Inouye and her half-brother Jimmy Lee Alexander; four children Lonnie (and Patty) Shores, Raymond Shores, Candice Lawrence and Maxine Tzur; as well as 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandsons. Martha will always be remembered for her charismatic personality that brought light to all who encountered her. She was never without a joke or a smile. Her humor and selfless love will always be cherished and greatly missed. There will be a private ceremony to spread Martha’s ashes at sea on August 6, 2023 in Newport Beach, California to be attended by close family and friends (Zoom will be available for those that cannot travel).
