Mary Louise Clayton, aged 87, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, on November 14th, in Newport Beach, California.

Mary Lou, originally from Oklahoma, obtained her RN degree via scholarship at Mercy College in San Diego, California. After nursing, she devoted herself to homemaking and raising her 4 children, forever caring, planning, saving for them, but rarely spending on herself. She loved to cook for family and friends, and always remembered the detail of every meal, as well as everyone’s favorite foods. Mary Lou also loved playing the piano, the beach and boating, her Springer spaniel dogs, and clipping coupons as a sport! She will be remembered for her big heart, empathy, generosity, her sense of humor - and her feistiness!!!

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents,Robert Charles and Marie L. Turk, and her brothers, Ernest and Robert Turk. She is survived by her four children and their partners, Linda Clayton and Michael Young, Michael Clayton and Kay Swikart, Steve Clayton and Tina Wang, and Michelle Clayton and Brian Holowka, as well as her four beautiful grandchildren, Olivia and Anna Kate Young, and Jake and Matthew Clayton. She is also survived by her sister Aileen and her husband, Darrell Ayers.

A private graveside service is planned for the immediate family at Pacific View Memorial Park, Corona Del Mar, California on November 19th.
