Born in 1951 in Oakland, California, Pamela attended high school in Costa Mesa. She went on to build a successful career as a title representative with First American Title Insurance during the rapid expansion of Orange County. Later in life, she co-owned and operated a coffee house with her daughter in Kirksville, Missouri—the first of its kind in the area—which was later sold. She remained active in the coffee industry through sales until her retirement.
A woman of deep faith and remarkable resilience, Pamela was a devout Catholic. She was confirmed at Saint Anne’s in Seal Beach and continued her spiritual journey at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Newport Beach. She was also a proud member of a 12-step recovery program, celebrating 44 years of continuous sobriety. Known affectionately as “Grateful Pamela” in the recovery community, she served in leadership roles, started multiple meetings across California, Missouri, and Virginia, and sponsored and supported countless women on their journeys.
Pamela embraced life with adventure and joy. She loved to travel and cherished memorable experiences, such as riding in the Goodyear blimp and even piloting it. She was deeply devoted to her family and was a proud grandmother to Sophia, Emily, and Patrick. She cherished her only child, Faith Brent.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jim George, and her mother, Faith.
A Rosary and Vigil will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Newport Beach on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at 6:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will follow at the same church on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 10:00 AM, with graveside services immediately afterward at Pacific View Mortuary in Corona del Mar, California.
Pamela’s warmth, gratitude, adventurous spirit, and unwavering faith touched everyone who knew her. Her legacy of service, love, and recovery will continue through the many lives she transformed.
