Paul lived a remarkable life defined by integrity, humility, wisdom, generosity, gratitude, and quiet strength. He had a gift for making people feel seen, valued, and heard. Whether through thoughtful conversation, gentle encouragement, or his unmistakable dry wit, Paul left people better than he found them.
Throughout his life, Paul believed in working hard, treating others with respect, giving generously, and living with gratitude. He found joy in life’s simple moments and treasured time spent with family, friends, and on the golf course with both. An accomplished golfer, he appreciated not only the challenge of the game but also the friendships and conversations it inspired.
In 2023, Paul was diagnosed with bulbar-onset ALS. Although the disease gradually took away his physical abilities, it never diminished his character, determination, wit, sense of humor, or love for those around him. He faced an unimaginable challenge with remarkable courage, grace, and resilience, inspiring countless people not simply by how he endured ALS, but by how fully he continued to live each day.
Throughout his illness, Paul’s faith became an enduring source of strength, comfort, and peace. Surrounded by the love of family and friends, he passed peacefully at home, leaving behind a legacy of courage, kindness, generosity, quiet leadership, and steadfast faith.
Paul is survived by his beloved wife, Lauren Talbot; his stepson, Aksel Ianozzi; his son, Matthew Talbot, his wife, Allison, and their daughter, Tilly; his daughter, Alexandra Talbot; his sister, Christine Wood; his nephew, Craig Wood, his wife, Brandy, and their daughter, Ava; his niece, Caitlin Lopez, her husband, Nick, and their children, Stella and Nick; and many extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Paul will be remembered not only for what he accomplished, but for the wisdom he shared, the laughter he brought, the way he listened, and how he made people feel. His influence lives on in the family he cherished, the friends he loved, and the countless lives he touched through his example.
