Priscilla Dawn Warwick, always known as “Prissy”, was born on July 19, 1948 in Houston, Texas. During her teen years the Houston newspaper chose her as Houston’s Model Co-Ed. At Spring Branch High School she was President of the Drill team, Cheerleader and voted Best Dressed Girl. After graduation in 1966 she attended her freshman year of college at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. There she was a freshman cheerleader, voted a Top Texan and a member of Delta Gamma Sorority. After transferring to The University of Texas at Austin she completed her studies with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1970. Upon returning to Houston she completed two years of post-graduate work at the University of Houston and earned her teaching certificate.
While teaching school she met and married the love of her life, Walter Eeds. They were blessed with two handsome boys, Robert Anson Eeds II and Walter Evan Eeds. Life was busy with children, Walter’s business and Prissy doing what she loved, interior design.
Being young in the 80’s while living in Texas life was fast, fun and always evolving. In 1988 the Eeds family moved to Laguna Beach, California for Walter’s business. There they enjoyed a life near the beach and the wonderful change of perfect weather all the time. The boys were growing up quickly and having California fun.
After another economy change Walter’s business took the family to Denver, Colorado. They quickly acclimated to the beautiful snowy winter days and weekends in the mountains skiing. While in Denver, Prissy was active with parent councils at the boy’s schools and a volunteer in several philanthropic charities. Her favorite was the “Make a Wish Foundation” with whom she worked diligently every year. The boys, all three, missed the beach life so back to Laguna Beach they moved into the same community as before. They designed, built, and lived in two homes during Prissy’s life there.
In 2008 Prissy was suddenly and tragically diagnosed with AML Leukemia but underwent a successful bone marrow transplant at the City of Hope. Five years later her life forever changed after the accidental death of her oldest son, Anson. The grief and stress of his loss triggered her body into many medical complications which eventually claimed her life. She is in Heaven with Anson loving the beauty and joy surrounding her, sharing her light and laughter with everyone. Prissy will be forever missed by Walter, Evan, Henry, “Red and Blue” and her many friends in California, Colorado and Texas.
