Richard Martin Riha

Dick was born on March 24, 1930, in Cleveland, Ohio. He married June (née Reinhart) in 1951. During their 73 years of marriage they had 4 sons. Dick is survived by his wife, 4 sons, 7 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.

Dick was strong-willed, but he had a big heart. He was a natural engineer- he could fix or build anything. He enjoyed photography, bowling, golf, and playing the banjo. In retirement, he restored Model A Fords. As a member of the Southern California Model A Ford Society, he traveled the country in his Model A, attending events in full period attire. Dick was also a member of the 4ever4 Car Club. He raced his Model A track roadster in drag races and hill climb events, winning many awards.

Dick was a parishioner of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, serving as an usher.

A Catholic Funeral Mass for Richard will be held Wednesday, May 21, 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1015 Baker St, Costa Mesa, CA 92626. Followed by a Graveside Service at Pacific View Mortuary & Memorial Park, 3500 Pacific View Dr, Newport Beach, CA 92625.
