

A former California resident Robert Stewart Baxter, 93 passed Dec. 7. 2015, in Fontana, California.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on December 13th, 2015 at Pacific View Memorial Park at 2pm in Corona del Mar, California.
Robert was born on November 21, 1922, in Wellsville, Ohio, to Charles and Clara Baxter.
Robert could accomplish anything he set his mind to. He was a resourceful young man, and traveled to Oregon during his younger years taking a job building
roads and all the while sending money home. He is a graduate of University of Kentucky, Louisville where here he started on a path to become one of the great
minds in the field of Chemical Engineering. Robert was a proud veteran and served in the United States Navy during WWII.
In 1956, Robert came to California where he met his wife of 50 years, Natalie.
He worked many years for Dow Chemical as a Chemical Engineer. Robert and Natalie traveled extensively for both work and pleasure. Robert resided in
Hawaii, Texas, and for the last 40 years here in Southern California. Robert's hobbies included playing golf, making wind chimes, playing cribbage, studying
the great philosopher and writer Charles Schultz, and telling stories of his unique and fruitful younger years.
He is survived by his two daughters, Karen Costa and Susie Sergeant, their husbands Joel Costa and Alan Sergeant, three grandchildren, Laurie Toledo, Robert Phelps and Jennifer Hutchinson, and 5 great-grandchildren.
