I just found out of Mr. Jones passing.  I sang in the Choir at North High, and remembered him as our Director. He had a great sense of humor and taught us how to be true performers.  I remembered the look on his face (Very Proud) when we went to Hawaii to compete and won the “Bronze Medal.” He  will be missed😔

Mr Jones was my band director at North High School from 1978 to 1982. He made a huge impact on me and wanted the family to know how grateful I am to have known him.  I was just made aware of his passing .


Those of us affiliated with the Bobby Jones Open Tournament knew him simply as "Music" Bob and we are  better for having that opportunity.  We remember a smile, we remember a laugh and we remember a positive  outlook. I hope some of that has rubbed off on those of us who remain.  We will miss him greatly. Without him we would never have gotten to know Jennifer and Uncle Leo. Just another reason to be able to say thank you to Music Bob. The 2019 Bobby Jones Golf Tournament  will be held 3 weeks from now in Haymarket, VA.  We will save a seat at the table for him. To Jennifer, Rose, Uncle Leo and all of Music Bob's family, we extend our thoughts and prayers.
