Robert Carl Pace, 92, of La Quinta, passed away on August 9, 2026. Friends affectionately knew him as "Baja Bob," the original outdoorsman. He had a passion for fishing, hunting, and water-skiing on the Rio Hardy in Mexico. He married his wife, Eunice "Cookie" Pace, in 1985 on the bow of the Reuben E. Lee, and the two spent 30 wonderful years in Newport Beach before relocating to La Quinta, California. He also enjoyed joking around with family and friends while playing Gin Rummy.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Eunice "Cookie" Pace; his son, Clinton Pace, of Costa Mesa, California; his daughter, Courtney (Vasilis) Mouratoff, of Tiburon, California; and two cherished grandchildren, Alexi and Erin Mouratoff.
Friends are cordially invited to visit with the family from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at Pacific View Mortuary, 3500 Pacific View Drive, Corona del Mar, California. A graveside service will follow at 12:00 PM in the Lagunita Court Section of Pacific View Memorial Park, at the same address.
Immediately after, all are welcome to join the family for a reception in the Del Mar Room of Pacific View Mortuary to share memories of Robert.
