Dear Raff family,

We were sorry to be gone when you held your services for Robert.  We have been thinking about your loss ever since.  It is so hard to lose the center of a family, especially a family as wonderful as yours.  We are so very sorry for your loss but happy for you that you were all together for so long.

Lee and family, I was so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. He was such a nice man and friendly to everyone. When we had our sewing groups at your home, he always joined in the conversation and was at home with all us ladies. I'm sure he will be sorely missed.

Dear Lee and Family,

The Scapa family were very sadden by the news of Bob's passing. Bob was a very gentle sweet man that truly loved you Lee. He spoke often of his children and grandchildren and was very proud of each of them. I will treasure the times Bob shared vacation pictures and our chats at the mailbox, but most importantly the time he called me to share the great news that he was cancer free. I remember hanging up the phone and feeling honored that he wanted to share his good news with me. A very sweet special man indeed.

Dear Raff Family:

First, I would like to express my sincere condolences.
 
My cousin Edward Raff forwarded the notice of Dr. Raff's passing.  Upon reading about Robert, there is a strong possibility that we may be related.  There are a number Raffs in Southern California, all originating from Chicago.  My Grandfather's name was Michael. Michael came from Riga Russia along with is father Barnet and brothers Samuel and Nathan. If any of these names or family history fits with your family history, I would appreciate hearing from you.

I was fortunate enough to meet Dr. Raff and his family though the local carwash I owned.  Dr. Raff was a real stickler for a clean car.  Though the years we became friends and shared stories of our unsurpassed basketball skills.  Dr. Raff was a very special person and we will miss him dearly.  To Lee, Edie and the entire family our deepest condolences.

Dear Raff Family, the world is never the same when someone so beloved leaves it. Your dad, Edie, sounds like he was one of those men who made a positive mark on this world, and becuase he was here, it's a much better place.

We are sorry for your loss.  Your husband and father brought many laughs throughout the years.  He was a sweet man and the memories of him are cherished by many.

Bob and I met through his practice in 1957 when I was was fitted with contact lenses.  Bob was more than an optomotrist he was a true friend.  He began inviting me to his home in 1958 in Arcadia where the kids and I became good friends as well.  Between the parties and dinners we became lasting friends. He continued to befriend me by introducing me to his many other friends.

We have enjoyed many hours of family and friends, gatherings, tennis and much more.  He will be remembered and missed as a life long friend.

We were so sorry to hear of your loss.  The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow.
