Robert Leroy Wish

Robert Leroy Wish of Henderson, NV, passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2020 after being hospitalized at medical facilities in the Las Vegas area. He succumbed to his battle of stage four prostate cancer. Robert (Bob) was born March 14, 1939 to parents Wanda & Francis (Big Frank) Wish in Chicago, IL. He was an only child, who reflected the entrepreneurial spirit and perseverance of his parents. Bob’s many successes began in 1965 with Save-Most liquor and the development of commercial properties. He also opened the first Subaru dealership in Costa Mesa, California. Prior to these successes, Bob was a Medic with the Army and was discharged honorably.

Bob is survived by his three children, Amber Ahlering (Kent) of Tustin, CA, Frank Wish of Ft. Collins, CO and Johnny Ray Thompson-Wish of Yucca Valley, CA. He was a loving grandfather to grand-daughters Charlie Rae & Dylan Wish Ahlering. A small family service will take place on March 20, 2021 at Pacific View Mortuary in Corona Del Mar, CA. where his ashes will be interred with a private celebration of life following. Bob will be missed by family, friends and all who knew him.
