Ruth Mary Raskin (née Webster), 86, passed away in the early morning of Wednesday November 19, 2025. Ruth was born on June 15, 1939 in Madelia, Minnesota to Ruth Marie Bolton Webster and William Thomas Webster. Ruth grew up with a spirit of resilience, curiosity, and warmth that stayed with her throughout her life. She built a life grounded in love, integrity, and quiet strength—touching the hearts of all who knew her. She was known for the way she made everyone around her feel seen, welcomed, and cared for.
Ruth carried these qualities into her lifelong career as a social worker, where her empathy, steadiness, and deep respect for others shaped every interaction. She had a remarkable ability to listen without judgment, to meet people exactly where they were, and to offer both comfort and guidance in their most vulnerable moments.
While her professional life touched countless lives, her greatest joy was her family. Ruth is survived by her son, Joseph Raskin; her daughter, Laura (Dan) Graff; her son-in-law, Dan Graff; her daughter-in-law, Debbie Raskin; her granddaughters, Tara Celletti, Sara Raskin, and Hanna Raskin; and her grandson-in-law, Jacob Celletti. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jerome Raskin, and her son, David Raskin.
Graveside services will take place at 10am on Monday, November 24th at Pacific View Memorial Park (3500 Pacific View Drive, Corona Del Mar, CA, 92625). All who knew her are welcome to attend.
Her family will forever be grateful for the love she gave so freely, the wisdom she shared, and the legacy she leaves in each person whose life she touched. She will be deeply missed.
