Saeid Bakhtiari Noroozi — beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and son — fought for every final moment with his family before passing away in their arms on October 23, 2025, at the age of 71. His legacy is the unified, supportive and endlessly grateful family he built with his beloved wife of 49 years and 7 months, Dr. Roya Toomarian, DDS. Together, they raised Kayvan Bakhtiari Noroozi (spouse Olga Noroozi) and Mona Bakhtiari Noroozi-Clever (spouse David Clever), grounding their family in the values of education, courage, curiosity, integrity and an unwavering belief in the power of steadfast commitment and love.
Born in Tehran, Iran, Saeid’s life was defined by courage, perseverance, and devotion. Coming of age during years of political upheaval, revolution, and war, he pursued his studies in electrical engineering with determination and brilliance, graduating as one of the top students in the nation. His academic excellence earned him a seat at Oklahoma State University, where he completed his Master’s in Electrical Engineering — a milestone that marked the beginning of new opportunities for his family. While in Stillwater, Saeid began “California dreaming.”
In 1980, he returned to Iran where he eventually oversaw and managed the development of the country’s largest hydro-electric power generator, a crucial source of electricity to its capital, Tehran.
By the late 1980s, he set his sights back to America, and to Southern California in particular. In 1992, Saeid settled his family in Irvine, California — a city he called “the best city in the world.” He spent nearly twenty years as an electrical engineer at the City of Anaheim, where he was proud to serve the public.
His favorite moments were those spent with his family drinking hot tea by the ocean, never losing his boyish amazement each time he gazed out at the Pacific, an enduring reminder of how far he had come from the uncertainties of his youth.
He was the ever-patient Baba Joon to his grandchildren — Nikolai (Niko) Noroozi, Aleksandra (Sasha) Noroozi, Nina Noroozi, Ryan Clever, and Cameron Clever — a steady, gentle presence whose love anchored generations. He was also a devoted son to Mohsen Bakhtiari Noroozi, and a loyal brother to Nasrin Noroozi, Zohreh Westman, and Vahid Noroozi, with whom he shared an unbreakable bond that served as a lifelong source of pride, joy, and comfort.
He is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Mahindokht Heydari Bakhtiari Noroozi, whose love and playful spirit remained with him throughout his life.
Saeid’s greatest wish was simply to be present for his family — to listen, to comfort, and to ease the “pains of the heart” of those he loved most. His countless sacrifices will forever be remembered. His light will continue to guide his loved ones — as constant and enduring as the Pacific he so loved dearly.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 2:00 pm in the Legacy Room of Pacific View Mortuary & Memorial Park, 3500 Pacific View Drive, Corona Del Mar, CA 92625. For information, please contact (949) 644-2700.
