Sandra Lynn Moran, 75, of Corona del Mar, California, passed away on May 29, 2026. Born on September 9, 1950 and raised in Bell Gardens, California, Sandy lived a life filled with love, friendship, and devotion to family. She touched countless lives with her warmth, kindness, and unwavering loyalty, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will live on for generations.
Sandy found joy in life's simple pleasures, especially time spent with family, friends, and those she loved most. She was an avid golfer, loved to travel, and treasured the friendships that enriched every chapter of her life—from lifelong childhood friends, to the years spent in La Mirada raising her family, to cherished memories made in the desert, and to the last 17 years in Corona del Mar, where she enjoyed the extraordinary friendship of the GR8-8 and her many dear friends at Newport Beach Country Club. She and her beloved husband, Ray, built a wonderful life together over 44 years. While she enjoyed many passions, nothing meant more to Sandy than her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She is survived by her husband, Ray Moran; her sons, Michael (Kristine) Putt and David (Marion) Putt; her stepdaughter, Kelly (Jeremy) Smith; and her four adored grandchildren, Dustin and Avery Putt, and Lily and Summer Smith. Sandy also held a special place in her heart for her late brother, Gary and she is survived by her brother, Tom.
Sandy was the glue of her family; always opening her home to holidays (Thanksgiving, Holiday Pizza Night, and Family Beach Day were annual favorites that brought everyone together), celebrations, or a spontaneous visit from a loved one. She was funny, generous, spirited, stylish, and always knew how to have fun.
Sandy will be deeply and profoundly missed. The world is truly a better place for her kindness and unwavering love for those around her.
A Funeral Service celebrating Sandy's life will be held at Pacific View Memorial Park & Mortuary at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 7, 2026.
