The memory I have of Shambu is him dancing at someone’s (I think Raj’s) wedding.  He was having such a good time and this is how I remember him.  Hold onto to your memories - they will give you strength to get through these days.

We are very sad to learn about Shambhu's death. He was a great person and a good friend. We always enjoyed his company. He  was full of energy and laughter. We will miss him. we have known Shambhuji for many years
He will be missed a lot He was a devout Hindu
He was also a lover of dancing He told us great stories and also his efforts to otain higher knowledge for which he travelled from India to US He was a very well known scientist in his field He believed in physical fitness He also was very passionate in helping others I saw him huddled with many people during gatherings and talkimg about how he had overcome his diabtes by diet and exercise and encouraged to do the same He was not only a Phd but also a MD  I pray for his peace

Very touching of Shambhu Tripathiji passing away with Shantiji and Ashok holding his hand at the last breath. Tripathiji, a BHU alumunus, was in deed a very decent person, will always be in our memory. May peace be eternal with him and family.  Santosh and aruna Kedia, Houston.

Gaya Dham Yatra with babu was the best journey in my live .Babu was inspiration for me ,today he is not between us but he will always alive in my heart.

I am  heartbroken to hear about Shambhu ji’s passing. It’s hard to put into words what a bright presence he was—not just in the community, but in our lives.
He had that rare gift of making everyone feel welcome and seen. Whether cracking a perfectly timed joke, lighting up a room with that unforgettable smile, or going out of their way to lift someone’s spirits, 
Shambhu ji brought warmth, humor, and heart to everything he did.
I have had opportunities to interact with him during many BSNA conventions. 
The community feels quieter now, but his spirit echoes everywhere—in stories, smiles, and the kindness he spread so generously.

May Baba Bhole Kashi Vishwanath ji give him Moksha and a place in Swarglok. Om Shantih, Shantih, Shantih

We came to know Baba and Shanti at Harbor Day School when our daughters, Bella and Sonali, first became friends in kindergarten. From those early days on the playground, we would often see Baba and Shanti lovingly by Sonali’s side, at school events, games, and countless activities. Over time, our families grew close, and we came to know the Tripathi family not just as friends, but as a true extension of our own.

There was always a calm, peaceful energy around Baba. His quiet strength, warm smile, and gentle presence made every interaction feel meaningful. In Farsi, we call our fathers “Baba”, and calling Dr. Tripathi by that name always felt natural, like calling our own father. It was a name filled with love, respect, and deep affection.

Getting to know the Tripathi family over the years has been an honor. When Ashok texted us that Baba had been in the hospital, Arash and I were deeply worried. I will never forget visiting him there, it was heartbreaking to see him in that state. But when I began to speak to him and he opened his eyes, it was as if his spirit was still shining through, even in such a difficult moment.

Our deepest condolences to Shanti, Ashok, Sheila, Sonali, Leela, and the entire extended family. We are holding you in our hearts during this time of loss and sending you love, strength, and prayers.

Dear Baba, your absence leaves a void in this world, but we take comfort in knowing that your soul is now at peace. You will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Dear Ashok, Shanthi Aunty & Family ,

Tripathi Uncle was one of the dearest of colleagues & closest of family friends to my father/mother/and our Sekharan family.
