Sharon Louise Kilmer

Sharon Louise Kilmer, 58, of Huntington Beach, California, passed away on September 17, 2026, at UC Irvine Medical Center after a courageous, year-long battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Sharon was born on August 14, 1968, in Newfane, New York, to Leon and Irene Thompson. She graduated from Wilson Central School in 1987 and married her high school sweetheart, Raymond “Ray” Kilmer, on November 12, 1988. Together, they raised three children and built a wonderful life filled with love, adventure, and joy.

Sharon joined the United States Navy in 1988 and proudly served for nearly four years before becoming a mother in 1992. She later welcomed two more children and devoted herself to being an attentive and loving stay-at-home mother.

During that time, Sharon attended college and earned her first degree in interior design. She went on to work in the architectural field for more than 20 years and later earned a second degree in Building Information Modeling. Sharon always strove to be the very best she could be—whether as an architectural designer, wife, mother, or grandmother. In her later years, being a grandmother brought her immeasurable happiness.

Sharon is survived by her beloved husband, Ray; her children, Ethan, Tyler (Gaby), and Paige (Dan); and her two grandchildren, Anakin and Gabe.

A Memorial Service will be held at Pacific View Memorial Park, 3500 Pacific View Drive, Corona Del Mar, CA 92625, US, on September 26, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
