Sharon L. Merritt was born on September 3, 1945 in Cincinnati, Ohio to William and Alice (Ashley) Short. She grew up in Covington, Kentucky and graduated from Homes High School. She met her loving husband of 47 years in high school and they were married in 1967 at Madison Ave. Christian Church. She spent many years raising children and building a business with her husband. Sharon was very caring, generous and energetic. Her favorite activities were exercise, travel, scuba diving, riding bikes and enjoying the beach. She also loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Sharon was someone who could brighten up a room with her presence; she had a continuous smile on her face as well as a spirit of adventure. She fought a 15 month fight with pancreatic cancer before returning home to the Lord. She is survived by her husband Jack Merritt, daughter Terri Merritt, son Jack Merritt and her grandchildren Catherine, Elizabeth, Alex, Arianna and Chloe Merritt.
