Ted’s parents were Manasseh T. Doniguian and Aznive Doniguian (Pashayan). Both of his parents were from Armenia.
Ted grew up in Guadalajara, Mexico and spoke Spanish throughout his life. Ted also spoke the Armenian language.
During the early 1940’s, Ted attended the Burbank Military Academy in Burbank, CA.
Ted attended and graduated from Hollywood High School.
Ted entered into military service with the US Army in March 1954 and was honorably discharged from Fort Ord, California in February 1956. Ted served much of his active duty, during the Korean War, with the Ordnance Field Maintenance Detachment while stationed with the 8246th Army Unit at Camp Schimmelpfennig near Sendai, Japan. In October 1955, Ted received a Letter of Appreciation from his commanding officer for his exemplary service to the 8090th Army Unit.
Ted married Mary Jean Peden on June 15th, 1957 at the Santa Barbara Mission. Ted and Mary had four children: Christopher, Heather Mary, Robin Adair and Anastacia. Mary Jean passed away in 1973. Ted married Gisela Warmington (Vogel) in 1984 and remained married to Gisela until his passing.
Ted received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Southern California in June 1959. Ted served in many engineering roles in his career to include Chemical, Mechanical, Medical and Corrosion engineering assignments.
Ted received many awards of recognition during his career from many different companies and organizations that he either worked for or served with.
Ted served as a Fire Captain with the Orange County Fire Department’s Station Eleven in Emerald Bay, Laguna Beach CA for several years.
Ted served with distinction at the Laguna Beach Water District Board of Directors for many years.
Ted was an avid swimmer, free diver, boater, skier, explorer and inventor. Ted created advanced prototype products in the medical and corrosion engineering fields.
Ted is survived by his wife Gisela, son Christopher, daughters Heather Llewellyn, Robin Walker and Anastacia Washer.
Ted’s legacy will always be remembered by those who knew and loved him.
