Dr. Tomasa A. Chiang, 86, of Irvine, California passed away on Sunday, August 19, 2012. She was born on September 18, 1925 in Lingayen, Pagasinan, Philippines, the eleventh of twelve children, to Pedro and Inocencia. Tomasa attended the College of Medicine, University of Santo Tomas and graduated with an MD in 1951. She moved to California and passed the California medical boards in 1952. She interned at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, 1951-1952, where she met Dr. Tung Ming (Tom) Chiang, whom she married on November 23, 1953. They both joined the Ross Loss Medical Group in 1953 where she practiced pediatrics. Tomasa retired in 1986. Both Tomasa ("Nene") and Tom loved to travel and dance and spend time with family and friends. Tom passed away on November 18, 2006. Tomasa is survived by a daughter, three sons, and seven grandchildren.
Her memorial service will be held at Pacific View Mortuary on Sunday, August 26, 2012 at 10:00 am.
