Trevor was born on July 4, 1987 to Karen Kagan-Jones and Christopher Jones in Newport Beach, California. He was raised in Irvine with his younger sister, Kaitlin, and was very appreciative of his wonderful childhood and for having such a close knit family. He attended Woodbridge High School, where he discovered a passion for volleyball and surfing. At age 17, he suffered an aortic dissection, was diagnosed with vEDS, and was told that he had to limit his physical activity. In the years that followed, he underwent two major surgeries to replace his aorta with synthetic material, requiring extensive time for recovery. Then at age 25, he lost his mom to breast cancer, an event that impacted him greatly. But despite these challenges, Trevor's spirit never waned and his vigor for life never diminished. He decided to live his life by choosing joy and giving back to the community.
Trevor graduated from San Diego State University in 2011 and became a philanthropic entrepreneur. He appeared in several reality television shows to promote his charitable watch company, Flex Watches. He met the woman of his dreams, Cherrie Daskaloff, shortly after graduating college, and they fell madly in love. In Cherrie, he found his other half, someone who could go toe to toe with his charismatic personality but also keep him grounded. They enjoyed traveling the world together, going to concerts, being in nature, playing with their dog Millie, and watching movies on the couch. Trevor and Cherrie married in 2018 and settled in Sherman Oaks. And in March of 2021, they welcomed their beautiful daughter, Finley, into the world.
Trevor could not resist his desire to entertain and make those around him laugh, often by coming up with wild dance moves. He was handsome, humble, classy, funny, kind, and generous. He loved to create music and even wrote his very own wedding song to his wife. Yet Trevor’s greatest pleasures were the small quiet moments that he shared with his loved ones at home. Trevor was the ultimate family man and finally found his true calling once he became a dad. From that point forward, the only thing that mattered was getting the biggest smile possible from his beautiful little girl. He was an amazing father, husband, son, brother, grandson, nephew, uncle, cousin, and friend.
Trevor is survived by his wife Cherrie, daughter Finley, father Christopher, and sister Kaitlin. He will be remembered for the love, light, and laughter he brought into this world. We mourn his loss, but more importantly we celebrate the full and joyous life he lived, the people he touched, and the legacy he leaves behind.
