Valery had a career as a journalist in Russia writing about the car industry and car racing for over 30 years. In 1990, he started a private publishing company. When he immigrated to the United States, he worked as a handyman for over 20 years until the age of 81, when he was laid off due to COVID epidemic.
Valery is survived by five children, two of whom were born and live in the U.S., and his wife of 30 years.
A graveside service for Valery will be held Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 1:00 PM. There will also be a reception in the Del Mar Chapel at Pacific View Mortuary & Memorial Park, 3500 Pacific View Drive, Corona Del Mar, California 92625.
