Vincent Alexander Galewick was born December 13, 1990 in Orange, California He was the son of proud parents Susan and Vincent Eugene Galewick. His birth was a nothing short of miraculous from the beginning, and he will always remain a miracle in our hearts. He entered into our Lord’s arms on February 2, 2018 in Newport Beach, CA.
Some of Vincent’s passions were hiking with the dogs, off road racing with his father, boating, snowboarding, all kinds of music, time with family and friends. He often could be found enjoying a variety of delicious foods. His palate developed very early (his Aunt Wendy introduced him to artichokes at four) and never quit. He probably had eaten at every restaurant in Orange County at one time or another. There was nothing more fun than a BBQ or party at someone’s house for him.
Vincent was a tough competitor, racing in professional events including the Baja 500, Parker 425, and numerous professional racing events. He also was skilled at basketball and loved to participate in pickup games at the gym whenever he could.
He loved basketball and football – especially the Philadelphia Eagles! Vincent was an IVF baby and actually shared a birthday with his late maternal grandmother, Margaret Monahan. Both his mother and grandma Margie were from Philadelphia. She would have been 50 on the day he was born.
Vincent was a beloved son, grandson, nephew and cousin. He was also a devoted animal lover whose kind and gentle soul enriched all who knew him. He is survived in death by his father Vincent Eugene Galewick, his mother Susan L. Monahan, Stepmother Jennifer Brower grandmother Jean L. Curran, his aunt Wendy Galewick and many other beloved uncles, cousins, and friends.
Vincent if he could would say this: no buildings named after me, no monuments erected in my honor, but I did have the chance to know and love each and every friend as well as all my family members. How much more blessed can a person be?
