Bill began his career at Imperial Savings in Redondo Beach. He progressed from mail room to student loans and then on to branch manager. In 1978 he started a mortgage company with partner Kathy Cheeseman, where he worked until his retirement.
He loved to travel and spend time with his family on Balboa Island.
Bill is survived by his loving wife Jeri, beloved children Stefanie O'Connell (Steve) and Kevin Hayes (Felisa) and Six grandchildren (Emma O'Connell, Jack O'Connell, Mia Hayes, Lily O'Connell, Ava Hayes and Sara O'Connell.
Bill was surrounded by wonderful family and many friends. He is dearly missed by all. He rests in peace at Pacific View Cemetery.
