He was a Veteran of the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War. He retired from Corpus Christi Army Depot.
He will be remembered for his passion for fishing, love of family, and his grandson.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother Aaron and Lucinda Johnson. Brothers; Charles Stovall and Jimmy Johnson.
He is survived by a Son, Zachary Carreathers, a daughter Barbara Johnson; a grandson, Ja’Kobe Carreathers, Perrin Hockless, Gerkendrick Henry; Sisters, Norma and Cindy Johnson; Brothers, George, James, and Johnny Johnson; and his loving companion Flora Carreathers.
Wake will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Friday, May 24, 2013. A Funeral Service will be held at Memory Gardens Chapel at 10:00 am with Interment to follow with Military Honors at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
