Abelardo Garcia Gonzalez Sr.

Abel was raised in Port Isabel, Texas where he graduated high school; in 1953. He married his wife of 64 years on February 8, 1958. Abel was employed by HEB Bakery for many years. He was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Abel enjoyed family activities, fishing, hunting, and numerous sporting events. He will always be remembered for his devotion to his family, his quiet nature, gifted man of all works, and his love of traveling.

Abel is survived by his wife, Inez Gonzalez; children: Norma Acevedo (Jaime), Abelardo Gonzalez, Jr. (Debbie), Richard Gonzalez (Samantha); Siblings: Carlos Gonzalez (Eva) and Joe Nichols;

grandchildren: Andrew, Jeremy, Ashley, Elizabeth, Jessica (Jared), Trevor, Chelsie (Preston);

great-grandchildren: Luna Alyson, Lilly Madision, and Emmett.
