

Adan Garcia age 92 passed away peacefully on Monday, April 18, 2011 with his loving family by his side. He was born on May 11, 1918 in Three Rivers, Texas to the late Rosalio and Nathalia Garcia. Adan served his country during World War II in the United States Army. He was a driver for the City of Corpus Christi Waste Water Department unit Ret and served his community as a deputy constable in Nueces County. Adan was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be missed dearly.
Adan is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 63 years, Librada Garcia; son, Adan Garcia Jr., son-in-law, Pete Perez; daughter-in-law, Frances Garcia; two grandsons, Hector Villarreal and Edward Duke, Sr.
He leaves his family behind to remember and cherish his memories; one son, Raul Garcia of Corpus Christi, Texas; two daughters, Dora (Raul) Garza of Banquete, Texas and Guadalupe "Lupe" Perez of Corpus Christi, Texas; twelve grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Raul Garcia and Fidencio Garcia both of Corpus Christi, Texas; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 22, at 10:00 a.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Robstown, Texas.
