October 30, 1944September 20, 2020

Adelina N. Adamez-Morales, 75, passed away Sunday morning, September 20th 2020. She leaves behind her adoring husband of 55 years, Jose Morales. Two beloved daughters, Lisa Morales Hicks (Roger) and Yvette Morales-McCarthy (Ronald). Adelina was born October 30th 1944, in Beeville, Texas. She was the second of five children of Nicolas and Elida Adamez. She loved her siblings with everything she had in her heart; Mary Alice Budd (Mario), Lille Mae Robbins (Tom), Abel Adamez (Gloria), and Nick Adamez (Amelia). She doted on her nieces, Laura, Wendy, Leslie, and her nephews, Michael, Matthew, Paul, and Carlos. Her Great Niece and Nephews, were such a joy to her. Adelina devoted her life to Nursing and Respiratory Therapy at Christus Spohn Shoreline for 45 years. She spent 10 of those years volunteering in the Respiratory Department and Information Desk. Even after retiring from the hospital, she continued helping those in need. Her complete devotion to her faith as a Eucharistic Minister and entire family, was an example of a Servant’s Heart. She lived by1 Peter 4:10: Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in it’s various forms. We will miss her beautiful smile, singing in the morning, giggly laugh, and how she loved life. Until we see you again, our little “Energizer Bunny”, in God’s Heavenly Kingdom. Public visitation will begin at 8:15 a.m. on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at Funeraria Del Angel Memorial Holly 3442 Holly Road. On behalf of all the volunteers at CHRISTUS Spohn Shoreline, I want to extend our deepest sympathy to Adelina's family. It was such a shock to learn of her passing, and we definitely will miss her. As her obit stated, she had a servant's heart and dedicated her life to the hospital. She was my roommate at one of the volunteer state conventions, and I have fond memories. One of the nights there, the theme was "sleep over," so Adelina and I went to Dillard's and bought matching winter pajama bottoms. When I put them on the other night when the cold front came through, I thought about her and nearly started crying. Please know that many prayers were offered for her when she first went to Doctor's Regional. I activated the phone committee, and several calls were made to the general membership during her stay there. She is now at peace, and I thank God for that. We'll never forget her.

I’m writing this with a heavy heart. I can’t believe we lost a beautiful lady and beautiful soul. God has gained a special soul. I was so sad to hear the news of your sweet momma passing. But I know that my daddy was at the gate to welcome your momma Home. It’s so hard losing a parent. I lost my daddy in March, 2006, but always know they are with you all the time watching over you all so just talk to them they hear you. I’m so Blessed to have known your momma. She was the most sweetest lady I’ve ever known and I will treasure the childhood memories in my heart forever we had when we were kids at Calk Elementary and Hamlin Middle School. Mrs. Morales was a great wife and raised 2 beautiful, strong, sweet & kind daughters whom I love dearly as sisters. Lisa, Yvette, Kelly, Diane and I are the 5 amigos since our childhood. RIP Mrs. Morales, you will be deeply missed. However, it’s not goodbye because I’ll see you again some day and we will all be together. I love you mucho!

I can't believe this beautiful woman is gone. She was so tiny but had a heart that was so big. She was so kind hearted and so generous. I remember going over to the house for family get togethers and her always insisting I take a plate of food home. I remember being with her in the hospital room of Yvette and she was so attentive and concerned about her. I'm going to miss her beautiful smile and friendly greetings. This world has lost a sparkling gem without her presence. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, daughter, and will be missed by so many. Farewell Adelita Morales. Until we see each other again in Heaven. I love you...

My Beautiful Motorcycle Mama--I think about you all the time. Ask God, "Why?" I cant understand why He didn't answer our prayers. I know you are in Heaven taking care of us all. I love this photo of you and Daddy. You loved that Harley. I was so blessed to have you as my mom. You are my heart.
